The Windows Server 2019 50 User CAL pack provides Client Access Licenses for 50 named users to legally access all Windows Server 2019 services. As the most widely deployed current server version, Server 2019 CALs are the standard choice for organizations building or expanding their on-premises infrastructure.

Each User CAL is assigned to a specific individual and permits that person to access any number of Windows Server 2019 instances from any device. Whether connecting from a corporate workstation, personal laptop, smartphone, or tablet, a single User CAL covers all access points — making it the most flexible licensing option for today's multi-device workforce.

Windows Server 2019 User CALs grant access to all server roles and features: Active Directory Domain Services for authentication and identity management, file server shares and DFS namespaces, print services, DNS and DHCP, IIS web hosting, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), and all other built-in server capabilities.

This 50-pack offers volume pricing significantly below individual CAL costs, ideal for medium-sized businesses and departments onboarding teams. The licenses are perpetual — they never expire and remain valid for the lifetime of Windows Server 2019.

Server 2019 CALs provide downward compatibility with all older server versions (2016, 2012 R2, 2012, 2008 R2) but do not cover access to Windows Server 2022 or 2025. For organizations planning upgrades, purchasing the latest version CALs provides maximum forward coverage.

Remote Desktop Services (terminal services) require separate RDS CALs in addition to standard Windows Server CALs. If your users connect via Remote Desktop for full desktop sessions or RemoteApp published applications, ensure you have both CAL types.
