The Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Standard 10 Device CAL Pack licenses ten physical devices to connect to your SQL Server 2019 Standard instances. This starter pack is designed for small shared-device environments — a reception desk with a few terminals, a small warehouse with scanning stations, or a department with shared workstations.
Device CALs are assigned to machines, not people. Every user who sits at a licensed device can access SQL Server without needing their own individual CAL. This makes Device CALs the economical choice when many people share relatively few devices.
SQL Server 2019 Standard delivers enterprise-grade capabilities. Intelligent query processing automatically optimizes execution plans — delivering significant performance gains without any application changes. Accelerated Database Recovery (ADR) ensures near-instant recovery after unexpected shutdowns.
PolyBase V2 external tables let you query data in Oracle, Teradata, MongoDB, and cloud storage directly from T-SQL. UTF-8 collation support reduces storage requirements for international data.
All 10 Device CALs are perpetual with no subscription fees. Start small and add 50-packs as your device fleet grows.
