The Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Standard 50 User CAL Pack licenses fifty named users to connect to your SQL Server 2016 Standard instances. SQL Server 2016 was a landmark release that brought real-time operational analytics, temporal tables, row-level security, dynamic data masking, and Always Encrypted to the Standard edition.

User CALs assign access rights to individual people. Each licensed user can connect from any number of devices — desktops, laptops, tablets, or mobile clients — making User CALs ideal for organizations where employees work across multiple endpoints or embrace BYOD policies.

SQL Server 2016 Standard introduced several transformative features. Real-time operational analytics lets you run analytical queries directly against transactional data without ETL overhead. Temporal tables provide built-in time-travel queries for auditing and historical analysis. Row-level security and dynamic data masking protect sensitive data at the engine level.
